Epic experience
Medical billing for practices using Epic
Some practices run Epic themselves and others get it through a hospital. In either setup, we can pick up the billing work your team doesn't have time for.

What we can take on in Epic
- Work queues that keep growingClaim edits and follow up items pile up fast when your biller's out for a week. We work through them in order of value and deadline.
- Denials and appealsWe find the cause and fix it or appeal, and a biller reviews anything going to a payer.
- Coordinating with a host organizationIf your Epic access comes through a host system, someone has to settle which billing work is the hospital's and which is yours, and we'd sort that out early.
- Reports your owners can readA short monthly summary says what changed and what we're doing about it.

Questions
Questions about billing on Epic
How do you get access to Epic?
With your authorization and a signed BAA, your practice gives our billers named user accounts with the permissions they need. If your organization or contract restricts outside users, tell us early and we'll work out what's allowed.
We use Epic through a hospital. Can you still help?
Possibly. Hosted Epic agreements differ on outside access and on who handles billing, so we'd start by reviewing what yours allows.
You can hand over all of your medical billing, or start with denial management or A/R recovery.
We don't have a certified integration or partnership with Epic, which is a trademark of its owner. Fieldstone Billing is independent, and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Epic.
We also have experience with athenahealth, eClinicalWorks and AdvancedMD.
